The Sarah Hat

This handmade crochet hat is named for a favorite friend of mine, Sarah.  She is as warm and cozy as this hat is on a winter’s day.  I love the self-striping teals that run throughout this hat and the softness is unbelievable.  Do you prefer an all acrylic hat?  This is the one for you.  
 
This Caron Latte yarn is one of my very favorite yarns because of its softness and warmth.  The colors also cannot be beat. The brim adds a bit of pizzazz with strands of Ice brand acrylic/metallic dark teal and expands to fit your head like an accordian.  The stitches in the body of the Sarah hat form rippled ridges from the top down, giving the whole hat a lovely texture.

The hat measures 8" from the bottom of the brim to the top of the crocheted hat. Lying flat, brim-to-brim, it measures 9 1/2", but TAKE NOTE that this hat and brim expands to fit a normal 20-23 inch woman's head.
 
I crochet each of my hats individually, using yarns that I have collected from a variety of sources. My interest is in creating hats that are fashionable and unique, and that use the highest quality yarns to keep you warm and cozy all day in the winter cold.
