The Liz Hat

This handmade crochet Liz hat is crocheted using a favorite yarn – Malabrigo hand dyed wool.  It is so soft and warm and the colors are so expressively vibrant that I use it often to make distinctive and fun winter hats and beanies. Each hank of Malabrigo yarn is somewhat different and you will have a truly unique hat with the Liz Hat.
 
This Malabrigo Rasta yarn used in the body of the Liz hat is a super soft bulky yarn, in a variety of colors – purple, maroon, pink, green.  The cream colored brim expands to fit your head like an accordion and uses the same Malabrigo yarn.   The stitches in the hat are close and rippled, making this a super warm, yet super light feel.  The pattern is from Lambent Crochet and uses the lovely textured moss stitch.

The hat measures 8 1/2" from the bottom of the brim to the top of the crocheted hat. Lying flat, brim-to-brim, it measures 10", but TAKE NOTE that this hat and brim expands to fit a normal 20-23 inch woman's head.
 
I crochet each of my hats individually, using yarns that I have collected from a variety of sources. My interest is in creating hats that are fashionable and unique, and that use the highest quality yarns to keep you warm and cozy all day in the winter cold.
