The Joyce Hat

This multicolor handmade crochet wool winter hat is named Joyce because it is colorfully joyful and Joy is the shortened form of the name Joyce!  The colors of this gorgeous yarn are like the colors of a rainbow, or like a hundred fireworks going off.  Easy going and so soft on your head, this will be your go-to one of a kind beanie for any cool day outdoors.
 
I love this pattern, which can be found at Crochet 365, because of its interesting changes in textures.  But it is the yarn that makes this hat truly one of a kind and I only have a limited amount of this yarn, making it doubly special.  This yarn is stunning hand dyed Malabrigo wool, which is super washed, so you can put your hat in the washing machine.  Each hank of Malabrigo yarn is slightly different because of the hand dyeing, so your hat will be truly unique.  The brim is made from chunky roving merino wool yarn and the hat is topped of with a large, sassy fake fur pom pom.
 
The hat measures 7 1/2" from the bottom of the brim to the top of the crocheted hat. Lying flat, brim-to-brim, it measures 10", but TAKE NOTE that this hat and brim expands to fit a normal 20-24 inch woman's head.
