The Jenny Hat

This handmade crochet Jenny hat is crocheted using two of my favorite yarns– Malabrigo hand dyed wool and Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick yarn.  It is so soft and cozy and the colors are so warm and varied that I use them often to make distinctive and functional winter hats and beanies. Each hank of Malabrigo yarn is somewhat different and you will have a truly unique hat with the Jenny Hat.
 
This Malabrigo Rasta yarn used in the body of the Jenny hat is a super soft bulky yarn, in soft rose colors.  The brim is wide and expands to fit your head like an accordion and uses the Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick yarn in a varied white/pink color – this yarn is 80% acrylic and 20% wool, which makes is soft and not itchy around your ears. The stitches in the hat are close and rippled, in a pattern from Go North Yarnworks and it makes a tight and warm stitch pattern.

The hat measures 8" from the bottom of the brim to the top of the crocheted hat. Lying flat, brim-to-brim, it measures 9 1/2", but TAKE NOTE that this hat and brim expands to fit a normal 20-23 inch woman's head.
 
I crochet each of my hats individually, using yarns that I have collected from a variety of sources. My interest is in creating hats that are fashionable and unique, and that use the highest quality yarns to keep you warm and cozy all day in the winter cold.
