The Jacaranda Hat

This unique handmade crochet purple hat – The Jacaranda Hat – is as purple as the beautiful Jacaranda tree when in full bloom.  That tree looks like a big fuzzball of purple when flowering and the Jacaranda Hat looks just as gorgeous, but also keeps you warm and cozy all winter long.   This is one of the softest hats that I have made and also one of the most distinctive.
 
The body of this crochet hat uses a chunky Ice Yarns Alpaca Punto (20% alpaca/20% Superwash Extrafine Merino Wool/60% Acrylic) which is super soft and has little bumps of purple felted yarn placed throughout.  This yarn is so unusual and gorgeous that you will be a standout in a crowd this winter.  The brim uses a slightly colored textured purple Zen Yarn Garden merino wool solid purple as a change in texture and color.  Topped off with a sassy purple pom pom and you are ready to sit by the firepit as the snow comes down.

The hat measures 10" from the bottom of the brim to the top of the crocheted hat. Lying flat, brim-to- brim, it measures 10", but TAKE NOTE that this hat and brim expands like an accordion to fit a normal 20-24 inch woman's head.  This makes for a fantastic fit.
