The Bridget Hat

I can imagine Bridget, from Bridget Jones Diary, wearing this fun and beautiful blue handmade crochet hat!  The colors are so vibrant and fanciful that it makes an amazing fashion statement, as well as keeping you warm all winter long.
 
The Bridget hat pattern is the Timberline Beanie from Ocean Peak Designs and is a favorite hat of mine.  It has a fabulous texture with its Alpine stitch in the body of the hat and then it changes up to the accordion look ridged brim.  The multi-colored blue yarn of the Bridget hat body is Ice Yarns Armonia Lana (acrylic/wool) and the brim is a lapis blue slightly roving colored yarn, also in an acrylic/wool blend.  The acrylic in this yarn makes it incredible soft and non-itchy.  The Bridget is topped of with a sassy blue fake fur pom pom.  The result is a hat that is super expressive and unique.  Fashion meets function!

The hat measures 8" from the bottom of the brim to the top of the crocheted hat. Lying flat, brim-to-brim, it measures 10", but TAKE NOTE that this hat and brim expands to fit a normal 20-23 inch woman's head.
 
I crochet each of my hats individually, using yarns that I have collected from a variety of sources. My interest is in creating hats that are fashionable and unique, and that use the highest quality yarns to keep you cozy all day in the winter cold.
