The Ardeen Hat

The Ardeen hat is a stunning green and purple handmade crochet beanie in such a beautiful primary color of green that I named it Ardeen, which is the Irish meaning of great forest!  This double brimmed hat is truly distinctive in its changing colors of green and purple that you will not only be stylish on your winter outings, but with its flowing Alpine stitch, you will keep toasty warm even in a snow storm. 
 
This beanie pattern is from The Turtle Trunk Designs and all of this shop’s patterns are designed to perfection (www.theturtletrunk.etsy.com).  The Ardeen uses Ice yarn Lana Bella which is 70% acrylic and 30% wool.  The double brim will keep you super warm and the yarn is extremely soft.

The hat measures 7 1/2" from the bottom of the brim to the top of the crocheted hat. Lying flat, brim-to-brim, it measures 9 3/4", but TAKE NOTE that this hat and brim expands to fit a normal 20-23 inch woman's head.
 
I crochet each of my hats individually, using yarns that I have collected from a variety of sources. My interest is in creating hats that are fashionable and unique, and that use the highest quality yarns to keep you cozy all day in the winter cold.
