Caoraich Hat

Caoraich Hat

Caoraich is the Gaelic word for sheep and this hat is extremely special because I purchased the wool on the Isle of Skye in Scotland from a woman who had raised the sheep, sheered the sheep and carded and spun the wool into these beautiful, naturally colored worsted weight yarns. Visit https://www.island-at-the-edge.co.uk/ to find out about this wonderful business.

I love this pattern which can be found at Canoe Mountain Designs.  I am also selling a hat made using this pattern as The Heidi Hat.  This hat is truly one of a kind and I only have a limited amount of this yarn, making it doubly special.

The hat measures 7 1/2" from the bottom of the brim to the top of the crocheted hat. Lying flat, brim-to-brim, it measures 10.25", but TAKE NOTE that this hat and brim expands to fit a normal 20-23 inch woman's head.

Would you like it made in a different color combination?  Message me and I would be happy to let you know what yarns I have available to create your dream hat.  You have the choice of a removeable or sewn in pom pom, or none at all.  Just click the options box.

I crochet each of my hats individually, using yarns that I have collected from a variety of sources. My interest is in creating hats that are fashionable and unique, and that use the highest quality yarns to keep you warm and cozy all day in the winter cold.

This would make a great gift - or buy it for yourself!
